At a seminar at the City Hall of Prague 4 on 30 June 2016, the Sultanate of Oman was introduced by Italian Professor Maurizio Tosi, the founder of Omani archaeology and adviser to the then Minister of Heritage & Culture, today’s His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. A large group of members of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic, which is the equivalent of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, showed interest in participating. The content of Professor Maurizio Tosi’s speech is still very topical even after more than 4 years.

Watching the speech is recommended. For those who are interested, we can also offer a visual presentation for the lecture, which has 120 slides.

Four days later, in the Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures, Professor Maurizio Tosi introduced Oman from the perspective of the historical development of the Omani Empire and its place on the map of ancient civilizations to the famous Czech Egyptologist Professor Dr. Miroslav Bárta and leading archaeologists from the National Museum and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

For those who are interested, we can offer a visual presentation of the lecture “OMAN – AN ARCHEOLOGICAL INTRODUCTION”, which has as many as 350 slides.
